Are you diabetic? I've had a few times when I felt pretty woozy but have not passed out or had to call 911. Eating or drinking something very sugary helps fairly quickly. I have more issues with my blood sugar going high than low. High is bad for you but I don't feel any different.cooperhawk wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2026 8:22 ambut I skipped lunch because we were almost done. I knew I was in trouble and drove the four wheeler to the house where I guess I passed out for a short while. Anyway, she called 911 on me.
When I came back to my senses I asked for a sandwich and some cookies. In a few minutes I was feeling much better and sitting on the couch when first the Fire Department arrived, then a Sherriff's Deputy, then the Rescue Squad, and finally my friends. They took my vitals and said I was OK, asked me some questions, and then left. I was embarrassed and also impressed. They did ask if there was anything I wanted but my request for a beer was ignored.
Back in the 80s as a collateral duty working for the Federal Govt. I taught courses in First Air and CPR but that was the first time I experienced it.
I thanked them all for coming to my party.
I need to get serious about my diet and try to lose quite a bit of weight. Went in for a angioplasty/stenting in one of my leg arteries and they had to give up because they couldn't get a good enough view with the fluoroscope due to my fat belly. Haven't been back yet to see the surgeon. I can still walk but my legs get tired and hurt pretty quickly so I need frequent rests.

No, I'm not diabetic. I have the unique situation where we are just on hour away from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester and my local Doc works with them on my health. I get the very best of health care. I'm just old and my blood sugar got too low, and I ran out of gas. They took all my vitals and they were fine but by then I had eaten half a sandwich and a couple or Orios.dave77 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2026 7:04 pmAre you diabetic? Getting old is tough but I'm not dead yet.
I still think a beer would have helped.

Friday, April 17th, has been a good one .... from what I observed, today's high was 91 .... that temp was seen on our truck's outside thermometer around 2PM as we were towing our camper from our home to Raleigh Oaks Campground located just off I-95 near Four Oaks, NC .... all-in-all its been a pretty nice day .... we are setup and settled in for the weekend .... its 74 at 9PM and they are calling for our overnight low to drop to 55 ..... the ladies are looking forward to hitting the outlet malls tomorrow .... I plan to spend the day messing around with a few things on our camper
