Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Dave 77, those charts are ugly. Yep, looks like another summer/fall living in smoky conditions. After last years fire that burned to within one half mile of our property we have decided to sell it this spring. Other reasons too of course but the fire is the straw that broke our pet camel’s back. Heading up there next week to start preps for listing it.
Today it’s 29 out these and it’s going to struggle again to hit 50. Lots of snow in the mountain passes yesterday leading to one being closed due to wrecked cars and trucks blocking the road. Glad I’m not heading over a pass. Warming up starting tomorrow with a 70 in the extended forecast for the first of the week.
We’re heading to what’s called the Coeur d’alene Casino about 60 miles south. We’re taking the motorhome and spending the night. Going to see the Grand Funk Railroad concert. Should be a fun night with two of the three original members still with the band.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
its a beautiful morning in our neighborhood .... 69 (RealFeel 72) @ 9AM on Thurs April 16th.... cloudless sky, still no significant rain mentioned in our forecast, less than 1/3" listed as being possible on Sunday .... they are calling for a high today of 92, overnight low 60 .... we both have medical appointments today, nothing else on tap that will take us away from home today
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
This morning 35' with sunny/fog. Maybe 58' and sunny later. Another overnight in the 30's predicted. Couple days of sunny days in the 70's coming. Then Tuesday, rain returns.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Wow Gene, that's pretty darn impressive. I think my Wife would like a trip there.
Lakeville, MN.
Fair, 59°F,Humidity 77%
Wind Speed SE 8 mph
Barometer 29.62 in
Temperature rising to near 66 by 9am, then falling to around 46 during the remainder of the day.
Breezy, with a south wind 15 to 20 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.
Showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 3pm.
I had a problem yesterday. I had pulled a muscle in my back last week so I promised Carol I wouldn't do any lifting, but a VFW couple who are friends came out to cut some firewood. I only ran the tractor and wood splitter so I was obeying her, but I skipped lunch because we were almost done. I knew I was in trouble and drove the four wheeler to the house where I guess I passed out for a short while. Anyway, she called 911 on me.
When I came back to my senses I asked for a sandwich and some cookies. In a few minutes I was feeling much better and sitting on the couch when first the Fire Department arrived, then a Sherriff's Deputy, then the Rescue Squad, and finally my friends. They took my vitals and said I was OK, asked me some questions, and then left. I was embarrassed and also impressed. They did ask if there was anything I wanted but my request for a beer was ignored.
Back in the 80s as a collateral duty working for the Federal Govt. I taught courses in First Air and CPR but that was the first time I experienced it.
I thanked them all for coming to my party.

Sir Henry your pics of the Ark are impressive. Looks like a wonderful place to visit, wish it was closer.
Coop, glad everything is okay and the emergency response is impressive. We experienced the same when my MIL passed away here at home.
I should be typing this post from the motorhome while parked at the Coeur d’alene Casino after the Grand Funk concert the evening before……not so, unfortunately the show was canceled due to one of the band members health. They had a rehearsal on Wednesday and he found that after some surgeries he was just not ready to go for the length of the show. Thankfully we got notice a few hours before we were leaving. All dressed up and nowhere to go.
This morning it’s 30 with a beautiful sunrise. We are at the start of a big warm up with temps in the 70’s expected for a few days starting on Sunday. Yeah baby, that’s more like it. We watched it snow for a few minutes yesterday. Nothing much tho.
Today I’ll put the motorhome back in the shop for a few days and next Wednesday we’re taking it up to the property. Before I do, I’ll take advantage of it being out and reorganize and clean up the shop.
