The Henry lever 410 I have does not have the rear sight and shoots slugs decently to 50 yards.

Gene, I'm glad it was only the sights being improperly set at the factory.
I can't use a .410 slug for deer here in NY, or I'd have mine sighted in.

It’s not legal in Wisconsin either. I just like to hit the gong with it.

When I got my H009, I was not use to an insert on the rear sight either. I was shooting high (12" or so) at 50 yards. After some adjustment, all was well. I guess that it can be good. But, I replaced it with a peep sight. Much better sight picture. My Benelli has a Ghost Ring. I like that setup as well. So far, I have only shot it out to 25 yards or so. But, I am happy with the results.

WHY?????? Put rifle sights on a smooth bore shotgun..........You ain't gonna get rifle accuracy with low powered undersized slugs.

I like my Ghost ring:

These are my first shots with a slug and 00 Buckshot. I was shooting to the right a bit, not my best outing. Yet, I think that it may work. But, I may see what I can do with a slug at 50 yards one day though. I did not get it to hunt with. However, I do like versatility.

Those Winchester slugs are what I deer hunt with. Haven't sighted in the Henry with the slugs yet though. Been using the Rossi.

That slug seemed like it knew where it was going! What distance?
