Thoughts for the Day

Post by markiver54 » Sat Jan 01, 2022 12:27 pm

Got a Western Humor and Wisdom peel off calender for Cristmas which inspired me to start this thread for any who wish to participate.

Today : " life is like a cow pasture. It's very hard to get through it without stepping in some muck".

I should add the authors of the calender:
"Texas Bix Bender and Gladiola Montana "
" Life coachin' for Cowboys and Cowgirls "

Just because you're following a well-marked trail don't mean that whoever made it knew where they were going.

Always saddle your own horse.

As Winston Churchill said,
"No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle."

Better to keep your mouth shut and let everyone think you're an idiot, rather than open it and remove all doubt.

Mark, you can be confident that you were successful; but no one else will agree with you.

Beginning with his Smothers Brothers "Al Sleet, Hippie Dippy Weatherman", I've always loved the ironic mind of George Carlin, who first asked that question. What a treasure.

Here's one:

Confidence is the feeling you have before you understand the situation.
