Warmed up at 50 yds, off hand standing, open sights, odd number of rounds on some of the targets today because I also blew up some pop cans. Give 'em a good shake and KABOOM. That'll teach Blackberry Ginger ale to hang out at the back of my fridge...
Next is 100 yds, ladder sight up but the slider on the bottom. That's a 12" target that I am pretty happy with for sure. Rifle just got cleaned too, so I think that really helps with accuracy.
Next is 200 yds, I just took the cardboard out of the target package so I could have a clear view with my little binoculars....got it dialed in not too bad, that is a long way out with open sights. I had the ladder up and the slider up into the 200 yd range. The first couple were pretty much in the center, then they started spreading out on me, and by the last couple of rounds I was back near center. Anyhow, for a 200 gr lead bullet, no superstar in the aerodynamics dept, I was happy just to get them on the paper. It would be interesting to know the force of impact at that range. They went through the wood backboard still. Scrappy little rounds!
And of course, my rifle...
Hope you enjoyed the report, shoot safe & often,
RR
