Single shot in Australia

Post by Ozziemick » Sun May 12, 2019 12:51 am

Hi all, new member here from Australia. Just wondering if anyone in this forum would know if and or when we might see the single shot centrefire range over here. I don’t have a Henry yet, but was hoping to make one of these my first. Cheers.

Welcome Mick what are you chasing?
OSA are the aussie importers they have brought in a few but I just had a look on the dealer portal and all they have left is 1x 243.
Flick OSA a email asking if they intend to bring in what you are after? I did with my 327BBS once they had a solid order from a dealer they brought in a few. Took 9 months but that was pretty much from the release date in USA and I dont think we are top of the priority list down under.

Awesome, thanks for that. Originally I was thinking 308, but I would take a 243 just the same. Just wanted a bigger caliber than my 223. How much are they roughly over here?

Welcome Mick. Glad to have you.

Welcome to the forum from KC, USA! Sure glad 220 is here, otherwise you'd have gone a long time without an informed answer. HOpe you can snag that 243, sounds like fun!
Happy that you're here!

Hey Cowhand, thanks for that. I’ve done what you said and contacted OSA, and you were right, they had one in stock, a 243 from a cancelled order. Well it’s mine now, have to wait a week or so for it to arrive though. How were you able to get into the portal? Are you a licensed dealer yourself?

Not a dealer as such I dont deal in firearms, I do sell everything else, ammo, reloading, scopes, accessories etc. have accounts with some of the major importers and dealer portal access lets me view all their stock levels including firearms even if I can't get hold of them.

Glad you got hold of it, look forward to a range or hunt report when you get your hands on it.
