Having a 6oz. glass, ice, Absolut pear flavored vodka. 2 shots vodka and top off with V8 Splash Tropical Blend juice. A great drink, if you like vodka.
Today we spread 14 bags of black hardwood mulch in the flower beds. Tomorrow, 7 more.

I had to drive to Atlanta this afternoon, might be working here through the weekend. Had a nice dinner on the company card at Ted's Montana Grill. A very tasty Bison Delmonico Ribeye.
Had a Hennesey nightcap in the Olive Garden next door to the Hotel.

Nice looking vehicle Dutch. Have you ever had a hybrid before?
My fiance's late father had a hybrid Ford Escape that he liked. Her brother in law drives a Toyota hybrid, a Highlander I think.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Just had an evening cup of double mocha (of course, in the Henry mug). Not the usual beverage for this late in the day, but simply had a taste for it tonight. It was good!
Nice set of wheels, Dutch...like the color, too.
My daughter from KS recently got a new-to-her Honda CRV SUV, and loves driving it. I've tried it out, too, and it moves down the road quite smoothly. Hope you have only good luck with your new wheels, and always safe travel!

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Thank you all, no, never had a hybrid before. I understand that the gas engine cuts off and the electric comes on below 25mph. It is supposed to get at least 34 miles to the gallon in the city and 33 mpg overall. Some say that they get more. It uses synthetic oil. First oil change at 10,000 miles. The hybrid develops 194hp where the other RAV4 models have 172. 2.5L engine, AWD.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
I had high hopes for the hybrid full size trucks. They never did much. It was a fad. Ford dropped the Escape hybrid because the gas engine was so efficient that most couldn't justify the extra cost. I have driven a few hybrids. I like the increased city mileage. I was more interested in the Chevy volt for city drivers. That too seems to have been a flash in the pan.
Keep us updated Dutch. I know the Highlander was a good vehicle for her brother in law. I hope yours is too.
If I win the lottery, I'll buy a Tesla. For now, I'll continue to get 13 or 14 mpg with my Dodge pick up. It's old and I like it.
I'm having a nice Canadian whiskey. I had a battle against technology today and it won.
I hope your day was good. Tell us about it while we relax.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Uneventful day today, more rain, what else is new. Watched the qualifying for the Indy 500 that will take place at noon next Sunday. I like Scott Dixon. It looks like we will have a warmer week coming up, having a Miller High Life tonight. I like to switch brands of beer.
Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Watched a lot of rain come down today while I washed/dried tons of laundry --- all caught up! In 4-1/2 hours of rain this AM (with a lot of thunder & lightning), I got 3.2 inches in the rain gauge. So the laundry was a good to-do item.
I'm having a Real Thing for my evening beverage after just finishing some comfort food...left-over pizza. Now I'll be heading back to my ammo stash and get out some rifle ammo for a possible range visit tomorrow. More heavy rains are predicted overnight and early AM, but a break is forecast around noon until suppertime on Tuesday. If the MO state range is open at 2pm, I just might get to shoot on my day away!
Have a good evening, Everyone.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
I just finished for the day. I got a pair of Wellington's delivered. Got to break them in tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to that. I just poured a nice tumbler of Canadian Whiskey and I'm just getting started with it. I found one I really like. It's not an expensive one, but I really like the taste. I've tried to research it, but couldn't find anything on it. It's called Harwood. My fiance's late father had a bottle of it and I found it at my local store. I don't get a nose bleed looking for it either, instead of looking up for it, it's on the bottom shelf, lol.
I'm going to enjoy the rest of this nice glass. I hope your day was fruitful, why not tell us about it.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Sounds like a good drink, I know you like your Canadian Whiskey! I like scotch, and Miller and Pabst and Budweiser beer. This afternoon I cut grass, it's growing fast lately with all the rain that we have had. Tonight we went to our grandsons graduation from 8th to 9th grade. At this particular school it is a bit different than some others. Then we stopped at Red Robin for some food and I had a Budweiser and the wife had a Long Island Iced Tea. I can take them or leave them. The dog was happy to see us when we got home and she is on my lap as I type.

Rainy day here. Evening tea time, and the day was pretty average until you folks informed me about the HRA site. Very cool. Have a great week all.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
A martini tonight as I have just run out of time. I have so many things I still need to do, but I need to take care of me. The martini is a nice self prescribed relaxant. I'm going to go drink it, so I hope everyone has a nice evening.
