I am glad that we have some Eagle Scouts on the forum. I only ever made it to first class. My son made Eagle Scout when he was 14 and we sent him to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimmaron, NM. I used to help out with the Scouts at summer and winter camp here in Pa. Many good times with great people.

It's good to be here. Thank for putting this forum back on it's feet.

I haven't posted in this thread, but I will change that. Tonight we had a few neighbors over, and the topic turned to guns (funny how that happens). Anyway, I brought out my Henry, 45lc since most of them had not seen it. Then I told them about the new Henry site. After I put up the Henry, I had my favorite adult beverage. Crown and ginger. Here is how I make mine, for those interested. Glass, 2 ice cubes, 3 fingers of Crown. Take a can of unopened ginger ale out of the fridge, wave it over the glass, 2 ice cubes and Crown, put the can of unopened ginger ale back in the fridge. There you have it, the perfect Crown and ginger. Salute DD, Sir Henry and the others involved in getting this site up and running.

I'm glad of it, too, Dutch. And, like you, I only made it to first class. Scouting was a great experience.

I recall we also had a group of scouts in the Order of the Arrow. I never knew much about it. It seemed a bit secretive at the time, but as I write this note, I looked it up and learned it is a National Honor Society for exemplary scouts. Some of the guys I knew in it probably shouldn't have been admitted. :o

]Well, I'm having a well deserved martini after a long day. Instead of having a day and a half to work on the man cave while the fiance visited her sick aunt in Sleepy Hollow NY, I had to drive her down this morning, visit with aunt in hospital for a bit, look around town, go back, pick up fiance after more visiting and then head home.

There were some bright spots.

As good as the coffee was at the Executive Diner, this martini is now better.

Speaking of diners, we ate at a favorite of mine on the way back, the Rosco Diner on Rt 17. Great fast service with delicious food.

Enjoy your evening all and have a Happy Easter tomorrow.

Basically, any time after noon, is time for a Budweiser. But just not every day.

I've put lot's of effort in behind the scenes with Sir Henry. Time for the nightly martini and off to bed.

I drove two hours up to Allentown to see mom and then back home again. On the way up I stopped at Cabela's and bought a Heritage Rough Rider .22 revolver, 4.75" barrel. I already have the one with the 6.5" barrel. Now I am going to have a beer. Image
