New Original Henry question
New Original Henry question
My wife was watching Longmire with me the night and it was the episode where a Henry that has been done up native style plays a prominent role. She loved it, which I of course think is a good thing, and that led to some window(s) shopping. I am trying to figure out what the opening in the butt stock is for? I have a couple of guesses, but they aren’t totally making sense in my head.

Re: New Original Henry question
I was just watching "Unforgiven" and there is a scene right at the ending after saloon shootout where William Munny re-loads Ned's 1860 Saddle Ring Carbine through the stock. This thread kinda' jogged my memory.

Re: New Original Henry question
The originals came with cleaning rods in the stock. Henry chose to make the door for the rods but they don't come with the cleaning rods.

Just saw that movie the other night. Remember when Gene Hackman warns everyone that " he's got two pistols and a Henry rifle".ChefDuane wrote:I was just watching "Unforgiven" and there is a scene right at the ending after saloon shootout where William Munny re-loads Ned's 1860 Saddle Ring Carbine through the stock. Re: New Original Henry question
Now here is a rifle Henry should produce as a replica - the Spencer Carbine.

Ranch Roper: That link is great. The AK vs M16 that comes next is awesome too.
