Max OAL that will cycle in 45 Colt

Has anyone determined what the maximum OAL cartridge that will cycle reliably in a Henry 45 Colt rifle is?

Wish I had a Henry .45 Colt so I could tell you, but alas, that is not the situation.

Stick with the reloading manuals and you should not have a problem . Then it will fit in 99% of rifle and pistols made .

Thanks. Buffalo bore warned me that that Henry has a short action and may not chamber their 300gr rounds.

I was able to figure out thru trial and error by seating a bullet progressively deeper until it would cycle.
Max OAL seems to be 1.6".
