Lever wrap: Brass Stacker or Pioneer Gun Works

For my SGC, I've added a non-leather lever-wrap. I had some left over self-adhesive camouflage waterproof wrap I always put on the barrel of my 12-ga shotgun when I took it out to deer hunt. Took less than five minutes to put on the SGC lever. It's stretchable, which helps it to adhere to itself very well. It's a soft fabric, and does cushion the knuckles well. Will take less time to remove it than putting it on. I would then wrap it back onto the take-up tube for whatever use I'd have in the future.

I like camo, and this wrap comes in a variety of patterns. I think it's cool that it is easily reusable . I got my camo roll about 5 years ago, and it's been on the 12-ga shotgun barrel, a BA derringer grip, a Ruger .357 revolver grip, the straight grip on my 20-ga shotgun (kept the polymer stock grip from slipping in my hand), and now has ended up on my Henry lever. This stuff sure gets around! Here is what is looks like on my SGC....I think this darker and tighter camo pattern is sharp-looking.

I am lucky to have a professional western store/saddle shop close by. I bought a large loop lever for my BBS and took it there before I mounted it on the rifle. I wanted black leather to go with the steel version. I know the best leather guy there who is an avid cowboy action shooter. Dropped it off and picked it up the next day for $20.00. Looks great and I'm very pleased. Wish I knew how to post picks. ( somewhat computer challenged ).

Under the quick reply box is a open the full editor and preview button, once you have that open, open the attachment tab and follow the instructions there. If your jpg is a very large file you may want to resize it with something like Irfanview, it's a free photo editing program that will do a lot but just downsizing a jpg is easy, just open the jpg with Irfanview, open the image tab, select resize/resample, select something like 800x600 or 1080x768. Then select the file tab and select save as.

Here's a photo of my homemade lever wrap with some trade beads and lucky cat whiskers. No cats were harmed in the making, just fallen out whiskers I have collected over the years.

It took 3 weeks, but I got my wrap from Pioneer today. I ordered the dark brown to match the wood on my steel carbine.

The installation was not difficult. The result is excellent. The 3.5" unit is adequate. More would involve wrapping around curves and bunching.

I am quite pleased with the feel of it. Highly recommended.

Turned out very nice. I like it. Very similar to mine. Makes a big difference to me how it feels on the back of these old fingers.
