Another thing I think should be left alone. Leave it one way or the other.

Man, I used to HATE Fall Back when I worked midnights. My ten hour shift became an eleven hour shift. WE got paid for the extra hour, but ten hour midnight shifts were LONG enough. :(
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

whenever I hear a discussion about daylight savings time, I can't help but think back to the old joke about cutting a foot off the top of a blanket, sew it onto the bottom, and thinking you have a longer blanket .... my preference has long been and remains that I'd be happy if the moved standard time forward an hour and then leave it along

When living near San Diego the clock changes were annoying and unnecessary. After moving back here to NW Oregon, I like the clock changes. To me the changes make more sense the farther north one lives.

It may be changing (or rather not changing). Quite a few states have proposed making DST permanent. Making it permanent requires Congressional approval, staying on standard time year around doesn't.

Travel quirk. I get to fall back 2 hours! Currently in Idaho on Mountain Time. On Sunday we go home. So we fall back one hour here, then on the way home fall back another hour to Pacific Time.
