neat looking spread .... what is your projected use for the round pen .... do you use a tractor to move the big round bales into the barn

No tractor. Just peel off layers and feed morning and night.
Pen is for light workout. Just rode in it.

where do you shelter them during your area's strong storms and very low temps ..?

They have shelters to go in. But they are outside 24/7 year round. Good hay and lots of it. They don't call them hayburners for nothing.

See that steel shelter near the barn? They have a couple of those on the property. But they don't use them very often.
