Rifle in .327 Federal

nice .... that same article could have been written about any Henry .... now having seen, handled, and fired a 327 I have a healthy respect for it

I got a UPS tracking number from Henry Warranty Services on Friday. My rifle should be here on Wednesday. Hope they were able to figure out what the problem was with accuracy.

The "Notice of Repair" just said "replaced barrel". No mention of the issues with the original barrel. So it's off to the range this weekend to see if this one performs a little better.

My BB steel should be home tomorrow.

Picked up a BB Brass today. It is very heavy compared to the steel model. The bore is mighty small compared to the heavy octagonal barrel.

The polish on the brass is truly exceptional. The blue is fantastic. Fit and finish of the stock is well above the competition.

Should have my hands on one of these sometime this week.
Always thought it would make a great farm gun. When Henry started shipping them last year I chased up the Aussie distributor about them. They didn't have plans to bring any in at that stage but said if they received orders form dealers they would.
That was early September so I put a deposit down with a dealer and received confirmation last Thursday they had it in stock and it was shipped Friday to my local dealer.
You could say it has been a bit of a wait.

When I ordered I couldn't find any info on if they would feed 32swl, happy to hear they do for most people as I have about 1000 cases.
The wait did give me plenty of time to chase up some gear, already have dies from loading 32swl but have managed to get hold of a few hundred AE 100gr factory loads and 32H&R brass.

Well the wait is finally over, picked mine up late this afternoon. Serial number below 800, think there are 6 that came into Aus in the first shipment and I know where one other has found a home. Very limited shooting with the open sights in poor light late this afternoon. Groups around 1" at 25m with AE 100gr factory ammo. Similar size for the few cast 32swl reloads I tried although I need to add a bit more powder as 1.5 -1.7gr AP-50 only produced 700-750fps. The were quite about the same as the cci quite 22lr.

I have 2 Henry Big boys in .327fedmag.
The first I received in August last year and it has a serial number under 120.
My second was purchased almost exactly 6 months later and has a serial number just under 850.

I'm curious. Is there any way to determine how many of any given caliber/model have been produced?
I find it hard to believe, and a little disappointing, that the .327's don't seem to be selling as well as I would have expected.

i know a lot of people still ask, "Did you mean .357?"

The date on my inspection tag is Nov 21st
Not sure but I assume all a Big Boy Steel 327 rifles are BBS followed by a 6 digit serial and end with the M327 model designation. Maybe someone with a carbine can confirm if they end with the MR327 model number. The Big Boy Classic may well have a different prefix again maybe someone with one can confirm this. There could be 3 separate lots of serial numbers all starting at zero.
Most here in Aus aren't even aware the 327 exists let alone as a chambering from Henry.

Well, on my .327 Carbine box, it shows Model # H012MR327, and the serial number of my rifle is BBS0016xMR327. There is a Nov 15,2017 stamp on the label end of the box as well. Not sure if that answers the question.

Well it does look like each model has serial no starting at 000001 the rifle ending with M327 and the carbine MR327.
From your carbine serial number and my rifle I would say the rifle is out selling the carbine about 5:1.
