1860 Henry and 1871 Colt

Finally got to the range. Have not fired a round for a few months. A little rusty with the revolver.
My only 2 firearms: the Cimarron 1860 Henry and the Cimarron 1871 Colt Richards transition model. Both in 45 Colt. Ammo was Winchester 250 gr. LFN in rifle and LRNFP in pistol. You can see a slightly smaller entry point on the pistol target. 8" targets. Open factory sights.
Still frozen drifts all over the place and the road going in is a deep muddy cow trail. Temperature is 27F, light snow and a little foggy.
Targets are labeled. 25 yds 1 hand for Colt and 50 yds off hand for Henry. Guns worked flawlessly. Great fun to shoot. Need to shoot pistol more often though. I dont practice near enough. Hope you enjoy the pics. LOVE these guns!

All I can think of is that it must've been the frozen drifts at 27F, and light fog that caused some rust.
Don't see any other way rust could have happened, RR.
Yup, can see ya love those guns. Congrats on the excellent shooting, and glad you had a good day of it.

Nice firearms. 27 degrees and still on target. I guess if it was not 27 degrees, you would have been on fire. Nice shooting!

Nice pics as usual RR and great shooting must be that ballistol your using to fight the rust away. Maybe SH and I can post up some pics today with a few guns in them. Im sure my targets wont be anywhere close to those.

You are a kindred spirit to be shooting in weather like that, but more importantly, to be shooting offhand with those great traditional guns. You are a cowboy, through and through. Great shooting, as always. I can always depend on your range reports to get me excited about heading out to the range with our western style guns.
