You made the right choice. The barrel was not right. Mine doesn't look anything like that. Make it right and move on to enjoying the replacement.

They are production guns. Things happen, machines fail, folks have bad days. Henry will make it right!

I will definitely keep you up to date . And I will add mine to the community total when I get my hands on it .
It might turn into a saga if the importer hasn't got a rifle heve to replace it with as even if Henry send one quickly it will still have to go through London proof house and this can take months. We shall see ( I will be looking at the new rifle with a very critical eye).

Hi guys . update : I had a phone call in the week to tell me that the uk importer for Henry ( viking arms) had delivered a new replacement rifle to the shop.
Did the journey to pick it up yezterday and this one is a much better rifle. No damage to the rifling and it even has better wood and generally better fit and finish so i am now very happy.
Barrel slugs at 431.5 so im starting to make some cast 445 grain loads for next saturday with unique and 2400....exited to see how she shoots.
