Hey-hey! I got my new Henry carbine (H012MR) yesterday. It was built in Rice Lake, WI, USA. Plan to contact Henry RAC this week and get the "born date." In the meantime, I spent a pleasant afternoon today cleaning the rifle, then went onto the patio to take some "showing-off-pictures" of this Henry. The photo shoot turned out pretty well.
The first thing I need to say is that I have a "wooden" tongue, and cannot find the words to describe
how beautifully made the wood furniture is on the rifle --- color, grain pattern, and especially the checkering. So without those best words, following are the photos.
That's all for today....just this photo shoot. My next post on this carbine will be the first-time range report --- might have the chance to get out one day this week. I've not only been off the Forum for a while, but I've not shot my firearms either for quite some time.
Take care, and have a great week ahead!
