HiViz On Silver Eagle

Post by coz375 » Fri Jul 21, 2017 7:29 pm

Installed the HiViz sights on my wife's Silver Eagle .17 HMR today. Installing them was very easy using the Henry tool kit. Just remember "right out" and "left in". The sights are great. We are both 63 and both our kids are eye doctors. They both said that there isn't anything that can be easily done to improve our vision to see the rear sight. The HiViz sights did the trick. The groups improved considerably. The only negative was installing the HiViz rear sight exposed the scope mounting holes. Normal rifle plug screws are too small to fill in the exposed hole. I e-mailed Henry and they are sending me the proper plug screws.

When I first installed the HiViz my groups actually got worse.

But then I got used to them and am happy now................
