First trip to range with BBS 357

Hi I just came back from range and didn't think my groups were good everything seemed 4 inches to the right I'm hoping it's me this was my first time I ever shot a lever gun . Not sure of the proper sight picture I don't know if I should be doing something different I used seller and bellot 'FMJ 158 grain bullets. I am hoping it's me thanks

It's hard to offer any assistance with the info you provided. How many yards were you shooting from? Was it from a bench rest or standing unsupported? Drifting the rear sight is not that difficult to do.

Sorry thought I put that in there I was at 25 yards I was resting it on my elbow not on a rest and free hand it was consistently to the right so I'm sure I need to adjust the sights I will bring a rest next time and watch a few videos on how to adjust I was just thinking out of the box at 25 yards I would be better than I was is the sights picture front sight even with rear or bead on top of rear sight I'm sure I was all over with that while I was trying to get better groups Thanks

Four inches @25 is NBD, probably why they shipped it.

I think on those you can drift front and rear a fraction of an inch, less than you would think.

Even if you thought it was perfect when you got it, you would have done some fine tuning down the road anyway IMHO.

OP, before you go adjusting your sights, I'd shoot it some more, and also try different brands of ammo. Unless the S&B ammo is the only stuff you plan on shooting, you'll likely find that other brands will shoot to different spots.
