A rum and coke is going to be the different drink tonight. I used to have these all the time. Now it's a rare treat. I don't usually drink any soda.

Near beer and watching the hockey game. Huge thunderstorms tonight.

First day off in 13 days. Watched my Rockies complete the four game sweep of the Giants, enjoyin a cold blonde ale and got a truck sandwich on the way. Things could be worse.

Al, I have enjoyed Mohitos before, but I don't have the requisite ingredients on hand at the moment.

I'm going to have a couple of rum and cokes before bed. Early day tomorrow.

Tonight I will be planning to enjoy a nice scotch. I think it will be on the deck as I grill a late dinner. I got a pork loin after work and sliced it up. Some for me, marinating at the moment, and the rest in the freezer.

That sounds good Dave just got done mowing the lawn. It was 90 plus here today and theres a bike ride coming tomorrow night. That whiskey tends to have an effect on that so Im just drinking a sprakling water but Im raisin it to the east while you grill that pork. Sounds good Al

I went to the farm and got my Farmall Cub going to cultivate the corn. I did a bit and noticed the rear was a bit to wide. I took off the outer tooth, but had more on the list. Next week.

A scotch and water was earned and is close at hand now. I will raise my glass and salute Bob and Gene tonight. Please join me if you can.

Tonight is a scotch and water. An interesting day at work and at home. I did salmon and stir fry on the grill. The stir fry was on the side burner. It came out nicely. My neighbors beckoned me over. They had what looked like a huge piece of tuna on the grill. It was watermelon with olive oil and sea salt. It wasn't good.

Enjoying a no-alcohol Bud tonight. Ice cold. Tomorrow night is the big Stampede Art auction in Calgary where my wife will be painting in the western showcase "quick draw" contest and also has an oil painting in the art auction. She's painting a buffalo in the quick draw from a photo she took a couple of weeks ago at the buffalo paddock near the Montana border.

Here's a good shot she took of the Calgary Stampede Grandstand for day 4 of the rodeo on Monday....good crowd.
