VERY DISAPPOINTED IN HENRY, this is my 6th Henry rifle and I never expected this from them.

That's not good. I'd ail Anthony about that.

Also I just cocked the rifle to test the trigger they claimed they fixed and a spring fell out of the action and now the lever will not stay closed.

On top of everything else they shipped my rifle to an address in Salt Lake City UT that did not exist. I LIVE IN AZ.
UPS had to contact Henry to get the correct address so my rifle sat in Salt Lake City for a few days.

I got my first Henry Henry .357 Magnum BBB (H006M) in April 2013. Excellent rifle, and when needed, excellent repair service -- just above and beyond. Since then I've read many evaluations of this excellent, high-quality CS, which Henry provides to its customers. Both here on the Henry Forum, at RFC, and general internet commentaries, most Henry CS stories have been quite positive.

In these last four years of being a Henry owner, this is one of the most disappointing Henry CS interactions having negative rifle service results that I've read. 'Tis very sad to hear such a scenario about Henry... :( Wonder how it all came about?!?

I believe CT is right when he made his two comments:

I also have BBB in 357 and it is an excellent rifle that is more accurate than I am. I have a BBS 45 Colt carbine that has been flawless as have been my other Henry's.
I bought this BBS 357 for hunting as I didn't want to mess up my beautiful BBB.
I'm wondering if Henry has possibly spread themselves a bit thin with all the new rifle and shotgun models being produced all at once.

I noticed a tag hanging from the rifle initialed by 4 different employees that the rifle was checked for ammo ( I assume to negate the possibility of shipping a loaded rifle) which would necessitate cycling the action. Yet the first time I try cycling the action a spring falls out and now the lever won't close? Makes me wonder if the employees are actually checking.
I sent an email to Henry and asked that it be forwarded to Mr. Imperato explaining the entire situation, but apparently he is unavailable until June 26th.

if you don't want to wait until the 26th, I recommend you directly email === Dan@henryusa.com === and give him the details .... I'd be surprised if you won't hear something in response

I got a reply back from Dan at HRA. They are going to replace the rifle and take measures with the employees involved to make sure this never occurs again.

Now, that sounds like the Henry Repeating Arms Co. I know and trust! Thanks for the update.

Hopefully something that will impress upon them how important Henry's reputation for customer service is to the brand.

in my mind, for someone to certify changing a barrel and not doing so is on a very different level from someone who performs a repair that doesn't fix the problem .... I suspect that Dan and Anthony would consider that to be a major problem

Ok, got a call from Henry Wisconsin. Talked with the customer service rep and the engineer.
The story is that the new tooling to make new barrels is still not installed and they cannot produce any new 357 barrels yet. When the repair techs discovered that they were looking at a long wait to replace the barrel they tried resizing the barrel. Apparently the barrel had a couple of tight spots in the bore.
After resizing and test firing they claim it now will hold a group of less than two inches at 100 yards so they shipped it back to me. They are still working on why someone certified that the barrel had been replaced when it had not.
As far as the spring falling out of the action they are also revisiting their inspection process and I quote "heads are going to roll". They are overnighting a new lever with a new spring and detant to me and I will then test the rifle myself for groups.

Thanks for the update. Good luck with it. I know they're still going to make you 100% satisfied.
