Mag Tube Rod Ejection...Again

The big bummer is that I will miss my Henry...I have had it with me constantly since picking it up. It has amazing fit, finish and feel.
I have had bit of bad luck as the first one shipped to me was the wrong caliber.
Maybe I need a backup Henry?

How many rounds have you fired through rifle? If many rounds have been fired( 10 tubes full+) and the problem has only occurred twice, I am inclined to go with operator error. I would rule out operator error before trusting package delivery service with my rifle! By shooting more you may run into another issue that you could also get addressed if you still must send back. I have 4 Henry rifles that have had no issues but my Marlin rifles have taught me this technique!

I fired about ten magazines. I have sent it back already. I packed it pretty good. The issue is that felt like it had play in the tube when full.
It was not pulled snug against the tube. Recoil could cause it to come out.

It isn't operator error since there is play in the tube when full. HRA will certainly fix it for you.

Yes, a backup Henry is a good idea! However, they will get it back to you quick.

My rifle arrived at Henry yesterday. My fill-in home defense is now my Hi-Point carbine. You can imagine the difference in feel...can't wait for the Henry to get back!
For those who have sent a gun in for warranty....what should I expect in terms of timing and communication?
They will likely be crimping the tube a little or replacing the rod.

Its on its way back to me already (less than a week in Wisconsin), according to UPS...no word on what they did, but I will let you know when it arrives and look at the paperwork.

Rifle is back...they list a few things they did....
Replaced Inner Magazine Tube,
Adjusted Lock Up,
Smoothed out Chamber.

Will report after trip to range.

Went to the range and shot 5 mags full. The rod stayed in!
Their work order listed:
Replaced inner magazine tube, adjusted lock up, and smoothed out inner chamber.

All good. I almost did not notice it was gone it happened so fast.

Very accurate...no adjustments needed to buckhorn, except that I cannot decide where to aim with respect to front sight...may switch to
the peep style to take away the choices.
