Least you fellers are on the list! Several steps ahead of the rest of us! Can't wait for that first range report, keep buyin ammo while you "patiently " wait.

Welcome to the forum from CT, Trooperdan. There will be lots of discussions about this rifle once they arrive and get taken to the range. Stay tuned.Trooperdan wrote:Anyone have one yet? I wonder if it will feed the shorter cartridges such as .32 H&R and .32 Long?

Received an email from Henry customer service yesterday.
They are now saying, "a couple more weeks...likely the end of April".

Re: Rifle in .327 Federal
I'm looking forward to hearing about the .327 rifles, but the delays and lack of response from Henry do not surprise me in the least. It is typical of the firearm industry as a whole to tell you whatever you want to hear, and release a product when they are good and ready to....
I am not holding my breath, or ordering one any time soon.
For those who have ordered, I wish you good luck.

Re: Rifle in .327 Federal
I think a couple of realities need to be mentioned .... Henry's growth has been so strong that not long ago they had to add a second manufacturing facility .... the good news is, they are selling every rifle they can produce .... the bad news is, aside from engineering and equipment modifications necessary to bring a new caliber into production, they also have to work it into an already full manufacturing schedule .... Henry makes every effort to iron out the bugs before a new rifle hits the market .... when that doesn't happen, they make a concerted effort to make it right ... I'd much rather deal with such a company .... I have zero interest in a 327 but well understand the frustration that comes from such delays .... I have no doubt that as the old saying goes, it will be ready when its ready and with Henry it will be worth the wait

I believe every word of the above to be true.JEBar wrote:I think a couple of realities need to be mentioned .... I'd like a 2018 F350 but I have to wait until 2025 to buy an '18
.... I'm sure HRA will get it out when they can. Hang in there....

Well, Henry has updated the website again, this time to read, "Henry Big Boy Steel .41mag & .327fed/mag shipping late May 2017.
I'm re-evaluating my impressions of Henry customer service.

Why? It's a new product. HRC obviously cares about getting it right. There isn't any better customer service than Henry's; I expect that's true of their QC and Mfg. processes, as well. Patience.Mgderf wrote: "Henry Big Boy Steel .41mag & .327fed/mag shipping late May 2017".

Advertising that they will be shipping in March, then changing t to April, now changing again to late May...CT_Shooter wrote:Why? It's a new product. HRC obviously cares about getting it right. The repeated delays are not instilling an over-abundance of confidence.
Why repeatedly advertise a ship date you can't meet?
Re: Rifle in .327 Federal
I guess I dont have a problem with it. Maybe its out of there control. You see it in car manufactures all the time.

I don't own a Henry but I own a small business and no one is more disappointed than I when we miss a deadline. I guess I'm reflecting on ncg's thread about tradein her single sixes for single shots, guess I'd rather wait a bit and get a rifle i could pass down rather than one I have to send back. I know yer just frustrated Mgderf, and you have a right to be but i bet theres a whole pile of Henry employees just as, if not more frustrated than you. I'm still anxiously waiting your full report on what has the potential of being my first Henry! There are worse things than Christmas in June!

Re: Rifle in .327 Federal
I'd rather wait than get a bad product. Henry will come through.
When Marlin announced the .32, it was a couple years before they finally came through. It was harder to make the little .32 feed reliably than they thought. Could be the same issue.
