First time out

Post by Chomper » Fri Mar 31, 2017 9:02 pm

The sun came out and I got out to play. First outing with my BBS 44. Looks like it likes 240 gr. Cast (430) over 6.2 of w.w. 231,plated xterm 240 same load opened up to about 4, 4 1/2 , 240 jhp Loaded with 20.of 296 could not get a group. Probably more me than the load. For a plinker the cast could not be happier that with the casted.

Hey Chomper,

Maybe try some factory loads and see how they do?

Good luck and let us know

Chomper,

I seem to get slightly better, more consistent groups with Xtreme's 200 gr plated. With their 240 gr plated, I seem to occasionally have fliers.

Glad you got out to play, I have never shot a .44 but I have heard them. I am jealous, they sound like a lot of fun to shoot.
