Forgotten in the rear
I was looking for my old Remington Model 34 today in my safe. I thought it was in the rear corner in a gun sock. I moved some others to get to it and got it out with out moving to many other ones. I usually have a sticker with what is in the sock wrote on it. This had nothing on it. I could tell by the feel of it that it wasn't my bolt action Remington. I took it out of the sock and it was a Marlin 39A made in 1978. I remember getting it from a older guy at a Pa. gun show. It is maybe the nicest 39A of its age I have seen. He claimed to have a full box and 20 rounds in another box from the two boxes of ammo that he bought the day he got the rifle. It looks like he is telling me the truth about only firing 30 rounds in this one. I scoped it with a Nikon 4X rim fire scope and never took it out to shoot it and for got about it. I have nothing in my book showing that I ever shot any ammo in it as I always write down what was shot whether good or bad.

Wow!! That's a really, really purty one.
Heck, now you got me thinking... could I have any guns I forgot I have?

Beautiful rifle, a great one to find in the back of the safe! You really have a great collection of Marlins.

Might have a few skeletons in the closet but that's it here. Nice find for sure!

I just checked, and no luck. Some dust and a dead bug. No Colt Pythons, no 100 year old Winchesters.

Re: Forgotten in the rear
Just checked our safe, too, but, nope, nothing I didn't already know was there. Can tell you one thing, though. I might forget about some other guns, but never a Marlin. Can't imagine how you must feel, bandit. I think I would go out and celebrate that one.
