68 here today I have on a short sleeve shirt. 70 tomorrow holy cow in Feb. What the heck am I doing going to work.

It went from -30 last night to above freezing by morning. No wind so my son and I were shoveling 3 feet of snow off the house roof at 4am this morning. Like wet concrete. Took 2 hrs. Having tea. Rain in the forecast and 70mph winds.

Cold here again, not Ranch Roper cold, but cold and enough snow to plow this am !! 14 tonight and 54 for Sunday Hot tea and Carhartt bibs !!

We have received five inches of rain since Monday.

Today we had snow, sleet, rain, freezing rain. In that order. Roads are a polished skating rink. Tea time and finally done for the day.

Highways from Alberta to BC are closed. Southeast BC closed. Everything is frozen over. Tractor trailers everywhere, accidents all over the place. Truckers trying to chain up so they can move, some rigs just slid sideways off the road on their own. Towns in southeast BC lost power. Just rained at our place last night, I was out chiseling the ice out of the eaves troughs. Sun is supposed to shine today, and then 50-60 degrees next week. Just made a pot of tea, then out to feed horses. Have a good day!

We have flooding and a lot of roads are closed because of water and downed trees.

All the rain we had last night is frozen this morning; slid all the way to the pens to feed horses. Sun is coming up though, and looks like a nice day coming.
Received an e-mail from my LGS guy; Cimarron in Texas has my 1860 Henry in stock and he'll have it next month. I can't pick it up til April but won't be long now!

We've had 31° and rain for most of the day. The windchill is taking it down to around 25°, which is plenty cold enough for me.

Good morning everybody!

It's 28°, and frosty with a strong breeze that makes it feel like 23° .... more than cold enough for this limey softie!

Well, after looking forward to it for the past 12 months since the last one, I went to the British Shooting Show yesterday - and came away disappointed. It's definitely a case of same old same old. I know there's not much that anybody can do to perk these things up, but even if they put the displays in different places it might help. It felt like groundhog day all over again.

I went with the intention of finding a nice used 12 or 20 gauge pump action shotgun and a .357 lever rifle to tide me over until my .357 BB makes an appearance, but the quality and prices of the used guns was ridiculous. I came home with a couple of things that I probably don't really need, but I wasn't travelling 200 miles to come home empty handed! Even the few things I did buy could have been bought cheaper on the internet.

Oh well, It's the Northern Shooting Show in May. It was the inaugural year last year, and it was excellent, so I'll definitely be going back for some more this year. I found a lovely .22 CZ453 Premium last year, so I'm hoping for more of the same this year.

We had a blizzard on Thursday that left 16" of heavy snow and another dusting of powder last night. More snow/sleet/rain is expected tonight and into tomorrow. Ugh!

We are finally getting back to normal here, temps are just above freezing, and no more snow in the forecast for a while. This week should see 50F temps, and lots of ice melting. YEEHAW!
Just made tea, and ready to fill up the Henry mug.

The rain is over here and so is the wind. I was planning a trip to the range but just got an email there is a tree down over the road.

Not much on TV tonight so got out some DVD's. Watched old episodes of Bonanza, Lone Ranger and Wagon Train. Saw a couple of Henrys.
