Three years ago, my first new firearm was a Henry H001. I had just gotten my pistol permit in CT and looked forward to my new and exciting shooting hobby. It was a huge shock for me to learn that there wasn't any ammo on the shelf the day I bought it. I had a new gun, but there was no ammo.
As a result, because of its scarcity, I began to buy as much .22 ammo as was allowed whenever I found it, which wasn't often and usually had a maximum allowed purchase of three boxes. I became a careful hunter of .22 ammo. I now have more of it than I'll be able to shoot in a very long time.
I'm glad the drought is over; at least for now.
