Strange forum issue

Post by clovishound » Tue Jan 24, 2017 9:40 pm

I noticed today that in any section that I have previously composed a reply, but did not post it, whenever I try to post a new topic, the previous unposted reply comes up in the boxes. I have not saved anything as a draft.

Anyone else have this problem? Am I going to have to toss my cookies to fix this? First time I've noticed it.

Haven't seen anything unusual. I wouldn't put it past Russia though to be up to something.

Makes it kinda hard to make a new post. Could I just delete the info still in the boxes, or will it just post it to the original thread? I'm thinking the latter.

Are you hitting the go back button? It happens to me all the time and I use it that way.

I believe I have the forum set to save a draft automatically. I'm not sure how long before the automatic save. I did that because I have lost a few mid stream because of my internet provider. I'm afraid it's going to stay automatic.

No, I am going to the specific section of the forum that I want to make a post and then hit the new topic button. If I have ever composed a new topic, but did not post it for some reason, it is there, apparently forever. This will make it impossible for me to post any new topics in a section that I have done this.

Let me try logging out and then logging back in.

OK, just went and cleared the cookies for this site. Still no joy.

Guess I won't be posting any new topics.

This is a problem.

Added

Tried deleting the information in the boxes and entering new info. I was able to post a new topic this way, and it cleared out the saved info.

A little of a pain, but not a big deal.

I'm glad it's working. Let me go check something.

The site is due for an internal update. I just let it do it on it's own. That might be the issue.

I've had those same issues, and my iPhone will kick me off in the middle of a post. I did dump my history and we shall see!!

Also, sometimes I log off and it shows I'm still on and I have to login again and log off to be "gone".

I've tried duplicating your problem but can't. Let us know if it continues.
