Long Ranger Disassembly?

anyone have directions on how to disassemble/ assemble the Long Ranger?

I took it apart last night but it seemed hard to get rear hammer spring/ black plastic cap installed, all while setting the proper timing/ gear placement to endure the bolt is locked on final lever closure. I was able to do it but can't say it was very enjoyable

I just spent some time with my 48 hr old 308... I spent some time studying the parts illustration in the owners manual and noticed rec/ buttstock coupler is where buttstock fastener attached. I removed the padded butt plate and used a 3/16" Allen wrench to remove the buttstock. Once removed I realized how simple putting the trigger assembly would have been in my previous post if I would have done this. The rev/buttstock (illustration #52) unscrews by hand once buttstock is removed. While unsrcewing it, it relieves the hammer spring (#50) pressure and allows you to remove it and the spring piston (#51), thus taking all pressure off the hammer spring guide (#33)...

I know most would say duh... but I usually watch a video or illustration before tearing into a brand new gun and I could not find a stitch of info online...

Just heard from Henry on the 308..

"Thank you for owning a Henry. We don’t recommend disassembly if the action but you can insert a laser boresighter directly into the chamber.

can't say I'm surprised .... we have Browning BLR with a locking bolt similar to that used by Henry .... early on I was told by the Browning sales/service area where I bought it that only one of their people should take it apart .... that was based on the precise reassembly required to ensure correct timing of the bolt locking in place .... last year I had the OEM recoil pad replaced and asked an independent gunsmith to take it apart and clean it .... he said he had done so but recommended I take it a certified Browning dealer .... I have no way of knowing if the same would be true of a Henry Long Ranger but if it is, wouldn't be surprised in the least

I can see the risk and why Henry would take this stance. That being said, I think with some time, patience and a little common sense most can handle it. I take all my guns apart to see what makes them tick. My mother claims I did this as a young man as well..

I do remember the gunsmith I mentioned above saying that you need to mark all gears to where they go back together in exactly the same position

Sorry above pics didn't load in proper order. Just wanted to show how to remove spring assembly that keeps trigger hammer pressure. Once this is removed it is much easier to reassemble the trigger assembly and bolt.

I did something I have never done today..I used beacon website to locate a target approx 100yrds out of house to bore sight the new scope too.. I know seems lazy but it's raining and I felt like tinkering
