Well, the eagles are back at Magnolia. I managed to get some takeoff, in flight and landing shots, but the light was rather harsh and the underwing area was rather underexposed. Managed to do some cleanup in Lightroom, but sometimes there is only so much you can do in post. It didn't help that I had to underexpose all of them to keep from blowing out the highlights in the white feathers. Digital sensors are very forgiving of underexposure, but not so much with overexposure.
I was happy with the first one. The last two are OK for posting online, but wouldn't hold up for printing. I was rather disappointed with the last one. It's got some great action, but the lighting was just too challenging, and there was a branch interfering with the top left portion of the image. I was able to clean it up a good bit, but it just isn't quite where it needs to be.
