Range Report: ammo odds and ends

Now that the range is mostly finished I decided to organize some of my magazines. I often leave magazines full and usually leave an end tab of the ammo with the full mags so I know what’s in them. Sometimes I end up with odds and ends and don’t know what’s in them. Today i just shot them not knowing what they were.

They can be seen from the road although you cant see the bullet splatters till you are in the driveway.

Very nice range setup Gene! Those look like 1/4 inch plates and if so they really sing when you hit them. If AR 500 they are safe for .38 Special...mild 357 Mag and 45 Colt and ACP. I haven't shot a thing in 2 months due to the weather !

Some are 1/4”, some are 3/8” and two are 1/2”. All are AR500 steel. I hadn’t shot much most of the summer but now I’m shooting 50-500 rounds everyday. When I first started shooting again I couldn’t hit much and now I’m hitting everything. It pays to practice.

I have some bags of "assorted" .22 rounds. I load them into what ever sometimes and plink. So far I've only had one fail to fire out of hundreds of them. They are the odds and ends when someone knows I shoot. They say, hey, do you want these? They usually arrive in a plastic sandwich bag, never in a box. That's real mix and match.

I recently “cleaned out” my 22lr bin and put these up for sale on the local gun trader site. Asking $45 and so far I’ve had no interest. Sure wish I could sell them here but the shipping cost would kill the deal. I’m at the point I only shoot CCI mini-mag hollow point and CCI standard velocity.

Interesting assortment from blanks to high velocity stuff.

For sure, I bought them from a co-worker who husband had passed away probably 30 years ago. Just never found a use for them.
