Range Reports: Remington Standard V in multiple firearms

Post by Sir Henry » Thu Aug 13, 2026 8:56 pm

I’v shoot the Standard V in six different firearms and they all seem to like it. All 200 or so rounds have cycled and fired. I’ve shot them in semi-auto rifles and pistols, lever action and bolt. I may buy another case or two as they are only six cents a round compared to eleven to seventeen of other SV.

I’ve been shooting from the RvPort as its more convenient to leave them out in the rv. I have to put them away in the house. This will work till it gets cold.

The gongs on the left are 42 yards away then in the middle to the right they are 52 to 47 yards.

The like feature had issues with the forum programming. It was never updated by the original programmer and can no longer be used.

What a beautiful view from your RV port. Not just the colorful gongs but the nicely mowed grass too! No one will accuse you of being lazy

I mow between 5 and 8 acres. Plus i have to water a lot of plants. I’m a slave to this place and am looking forward to winter where I dont have to work.

I just opened the second 550 round loose box of these Standard V’s and haven’t had a misfire yet. That’s remarkable because I usually have two or three with most ammo. It’s quiet enough in the 10/22 with a can. Next question will be how clean will the can be.
