70 @ 1PM on its way to a forecasted high of 76 .... overnight they say our low will fall to 49 .... no rain anticipated for several days .... yesterday I mentioned attending our oldest grandson's FFA banquet .... its an old/large/very active group that has been affiliated with our local high school for well over 40 years .... our grandson will be a senior next year .... last night the chapter's slate of officers for next year was announced and he will be serving as their president .... he's coming over this afternoon for the first of several sessions where Maureen (who taught high school chemistry and physics) will be tutoring him for his coming final exam

Cooler and windy here. Wanted to do some weed spraying today but it's way to windy today and probably tomorrow as well, maybe Sunday. Found a hose extension for my electric sprayer so I will be able to put the sprayer in my small utility trailer and do most of my spraying sitting on my tractor. Will be nice as it's getting more and more difficult for my walking, especially on rough ground.

Is it too early to complain about the weather? I mean how hot it is. I’m thinking of putting the window air conditioner up. The upstairs where I sleep can get very hot. I opened a few windows which will do the trick but I’m afraid things will get blown around. It does get windy hear.

Right now I have most of the windows open to ventilate the stinky fish fertilizer I use. My plants love it.

Beautiful Gene, plants are looking good.

Here is a cool 39 and we have a frost warning for tonight. Maybe some rain this afternoon. As I recall the high is expected to remain in the 50’s. Brrr

A warmup next week with a return the the 70’s that will be appreciated.

A bit of running around today getting ready for our trip to California to visit the kids/grandkids. Local son is staying at our place to take care of the dogs.

The heat wave is over and rain is in the forecast. Lows will be in the upper thirties and highs in the fifties. Guess I don’t need that air conditioner up just yet. I turned the heat off and it’s 64 degrees upstairs and 62 down.

34 and foggy when I got up a couple of hours ago. Now it’s 37 and the sun is starting to burn the fog off. High maybe 60. Warming up this week to the 70’s with some nice days expected. We’re leaving Tuesday to So Cal where the forecast is for nice weather 70’s for the daytime and 50’s for the overnight.

My son is staying here to take care of the dogs and is coming over mid day to go over stuff. Nice to know everything will be in good hands while we’re gone.
