Welcome home Gene. We stayed at Champaign/Normal a year ago on our way home
at a Love's Truck Stop Campground. It was a nice place.
Today I will be selling poppies for the VFW at our local Fleet Farm.

It was just shy of 90* here yesterday. Supposed to be the same today and in the 80s for the next week at least. I spent the day finishing up some projects for the wife around the property, and then as it got too hot to be in the sun, I put the boat in the shade and gave it a once-over prior to a bit of fishing this week. I have a polisher friend coming to spend a day or two on a clients Airstream, and I “lured” him the 2.5 hours here with a promise of evening fishing;)

53 and sunny this morning with a high of 70 later. Very nice, it could stay this way all year as far as I’m concerned.

Nice as far as the extended forecast goes and maybe back to the 80’s first of next week.

Today’s plan is to wash the motorhome and put it away until next time.

It’s 51F in Champaign, IL where we spent the night and 38 back home. I’m not going to mention the 82F we left behind in FL. We will be home mid afternoon after being gone for 11 days.

75 @ noon on Tues May 5th .... forecasted high 82 before falling back to an overnight low of 59 .... no rain today but some may start moving in late tomorrow night .... first up today was taking Maureen to an appointment with a Retina Specialists ..... part of the treatment she is undergoing requires an injection into an eye .... just the thought of that gets to me .... next up is to pickup our 10 year old grandson after school and get him home, fed and ready for his last little league baseball game .

Wife's out of town. / Cup of coffee, loaded truck with trash to take to the dump, and it started pouring. I've got an appointment at 2 pm. I'll have to take the trash after then, when the rain stops.

Cooler this morning at 43 at my place and the official Deer Park temp 38. Still a nice sunny morning with a high of 78 later. Continued nice days for the foreseeable future. The grass growing in my tree areas that I keep mowed is about a foot high. Probably better do something about that.

69 @10AM .... forecasted high 80 followed by an overnight low of 64 .... scattered rain showers called for this morning .... weather radar doesn't support that prediction .... much heavier thunder storms possible later today .... any and all rain would be very welcome .... our morning will include several short trip and switching vehicles with our daughter .... nothing major
