My Mac has great resolution and I am blown away with the details of all four shots.

Thanks for sharing
Keep in mind, when I post an image, I resize the print down to 1200 pixels on the long side. I do this for two reasons. One is to reduce the size of the file that has to be uploaded to the forum. The other is to discourage unscrupulous folks from stealing one of my images, as a file at this resolution won't print well. Actually, I don't worry too much about that, but it is standard practice among photographers posting on the internet.

As an example, this image is posted at 1200 x 800 pixels. The original image, after editing and cropping, was 7628 x 5085 pixels. The original from the camera was 8256 x 5504. The posted image here has a fraction of the detail the original image has. The resolution of a modern, high end, digital camera is astounding.

Interesting day at the zoo this weekend. The Pup and I drove up to the zoo and got there shortly after they opened. Just a few minutes in, I tripped on some stonework and dislocated my finger. The tip of my ring finger was sticking up at a 30-45 degree angle. Spent the rest of the morning in the ER. I felt SOOOO good when the doc manipulated it slightly and it popped back in place. An X-ray, splint and a few bandages for my skinned knee and elbow, and we were back at the zoo. Here are a few preliminary images. I will get back to editing later today, maybe tomorrow.

I still have thar image in my head of my finger at that disturbing angle. I was convinced it was broken initially.

This is one of the lions making fun of me and my busted paw.

I forget the most important information. My camera and lens only seems to have suffered a few minor scratches on the lens hood. :D

So glad your finger was reset so easily and that you're other equipment survived, as well. Love these images of three beautiful animals staring us down. But, the action and color in the photo of the Flamingo is my favorite, followed closely by the full length portrait of the sunbathed and curious Meerkat. Well done.

For some reason my early attempts at meerkats weren't very good. I've been pleased with some of my images of them the last couple of trips to the zoo.

Great pics as usual. Glad your injuries from your fall were minor. Not always the case. Love the meercats.
