Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Jan 4th has been beautiful, so far .... 48 at 1PM under a cloudless sky .... they are calling for a high of 55, dropping back to an overnight low of 29 .... no rain mentioned in the extended forecast covering the next 14 days .... my CPAP machine died yesterday and our insurance will not cover a replacement until the end of this year .... I've had to use one for many years and last night I found that I couldn't sleep without one .... yep, that came as a surprise .... another surprise has been just how expensive they've gotten ..... would you believe $1,000+ ..???.. tomorrow I've got to get busy and find a rebuilt one

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Bummer about your insurance. Obstructive Sleep Apnea is a life-threatening condition and a CPAP machine is a medical prescription. That they won't provide one makes no sense. Any chance the maker will repair it?JEBar wrote: ↑Sun Jan 04, 2026 1:13 pm... my CPAP machine died yesterday and our insurance will not cover a replacement until the end of this year .... Mine died during the pandemic. My insurance would pay for it, but just finding one then was a problem. There was a world-wide demand, commerce was interrupted, and inventories evaporated. It took a couple of months of helpless calling each week before they delivered.
You'll wake up that first morning after having it again feeling amazing. I did. I wear a full face mask and I can't sleep without it. I'm scheduled to get a new machine in August.

I don’t have sleep apnea however I’m told the adjustable mattress I bought can help. I know it sure helps me sleep better.CT_Shooter wrote: ↑Sun Jan 04, 2026 1:56 pmBummer about your insurance. It’s a warm 23F with just a gentle breeze with up to 4” of snow promised late today and early tomorrow.

35 this morning with a dry day expected. Tomorrow brings a possibility of some snow maybe a couple of inches or so. Later in the week our temps are expected to return to normal with lows in the 20’s and highs in the low to mid 30’s. Several dry days expected after tomorrow’s snow so I may have a nice window to do my outdoor burning. Lots of piles of limbs I cut last spring/summer. This is a task I enjoy doing.

talk about weird, this morning I called the company that we've purchased CPAP supplied from for many years .... I spoke with their specialists that deals with the machines .... she asked me if it was unplugged and I told her that it had been for over 2 days .... she told me to plug it back in .... I did and it worked perfectly ..
first time I've heard that about an adjustable mattress
first up for us this morning was dropping a grandson off at school while taking Maureen to a medical appointment .... this afternoon we plan to haul trash and on the same trip pick him up and take him to a tutoring session .... pretty much routine

This one has a setting for it. It’s the same as my one I had in Washington that was marked zero gravity. Basically your feet are slightly higher than your heart and your head is slightly above your feet.JEBar wrote: ↑Mon Jan 05, 2026 12:11 pmCT_Shooter wrote: ↑Sun Jan 04, 2026 1:56 pmYou'll wake up that first morning after having it again feeling amazing. I asked the chance this could happen again and she said there is no way to know .... I've tried but I simply can't use a mask, rater "Nose Pillows" work for me
