High of 20º for the next two days. Still light snow, may have to sit on the snowblower this afternoon.

31 with a bit of a storm. We got a couple of inches of snow overnight and now there is freezing rain falling on top of it. Still sitting here in my comfys in front of the fire so no idea how the conditions are out there. I did see on the local news this morning the streets in Spokane and I’m very happy I’m not traveling on them. Looked to be a sheet of ice. High in the low 30’s so not much melt off for us here in the Deer Park area. Spokane should see 36 so hopefully some melting on those slick roads.

I’ve started my annual January “gotta move out of this winter” looking around. Came up with a new idea this year. I know a couple of people that have bought snowbird homes in Southern California away from the big cities. So I figured I’d sell this place and all the equipment needed here and downsize moving back into the suburbs of Spokane. Then take the proceeds from here and from selling our property up north and invest it in a snowbird home in So Cal. We have family and friends down there so California is more logical than say Arizona for us.

Sounds great until I look at prices.

Branson is a basic 24hp tractor and known for being tough. I also have a 24hp Kubota. The big difference is the Kubota has cup holders.
Your Kubota has cup holders? I had to add one to mine. I'm jealous.

Carol's belated Christmas Dinner yesterday was a great success. We seated nine adults and one 12 year old
at the table with all the China and Silver. Roast beast with all the trimmings and two deserts. I ate quite well.

Hey now .... for some of us cup holders can be a deal breaker :!: :!: :!:

well, the sun came up this morning so another year is underway .... 58 at 1PM under a mostly cloudy sky .... no mention of rain in today's forecast but tomorrow is supposed to be pretty much of a washout .... out temp is to get up to 61 before dropping back to an overnight low of 41 .... first up this morning repairing a kitchen cabinet hinge at our daughter's place ..... thankfully turned out to be a pretty simple fix ..... after that hauled off our trash and recycling .... on the way back stopped by Walmart for food and meds .... long line at our trash collection stop, guess a lot of folks are paying attention for tomorrow's rainy forecast .... now back home getting ready to watch some college football games

Oh my Lord. The inhumanity of it all. I had to add one of those as well. That's just not fair.

9F and snowing lightly. We have been getting a half to a full inch everyday. Not enough that you would say it snowed yet those flurries everyday are building up. What’s worse (better) is those flurries drift.

Retired life is good here in the winter because my only job is to keep my place plowed and shoveled.
