Wife and I finally hit the 50th Anniversary today!
Yes on a warm humid Saturday afternoon back on September 6 1975 we started our married life and have enjoyed many great years together.
Last couple of years wife and I struggle with her Alzheimers but we keep going. Would love to go back in time and do it all over again as those were some great times! So this evening it will be hot and humid with storms moving in later and hope to enjoy a dinner with family.
The 1974 Z/28 was a great honeymoon coach!

You sure were a cute couple. My Wife worries about Alzheimer's as her Mother died of it way too young. Carol has already outlived
her and she still works every day because she thinks that keeping her mind active will ward it off. So far, it seems to be working.

Fifty Years, that is an accomplishment. Sorry to hear about your wife's battle, good on yah for sticking with her.
My best wishes for both of you.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

It's a bittersweet anniversary, Forty, but the current of a love like yours flows really deep and celebrating it today -- together -- is extraordinary. Congratulations.

Congrats on such a huge milestone. The very best to your wife and to you also. Just seems so unfair looking at her in your wedding photo, so young and vibrant. You’re a good man for sure.

Re: Wife and I finally hit the 50th Anniversary today!
Many thanks to my friends here for the Best Anniversary wishes! Yes we all got a bit wet getting into Texas Roadhouse for a great dinner for all of us BUT it did rain on our honeymoon evening 50 years ago so it all worked perfectly! It was my Son and some of his family and our great friends of over 50 years seated to the right across from us that got Margie and I together on a date 51 1/2 years ago at Shoney's our 2nd home hangout when they had the drive thru. Back then Margie had a 72 Gremlin that she and girlfriends would pile into and make laps thru Shoneys. Used to wonder who she was and found out!!
I brought along the wedding cake topper and the knife we used to cut the cake 50 years ago to cut our steaks! Really enjoyed it!

Even without knowing the exact date, your hairstyle in that photo put the date in the 1972-1976 range. So much like the hairstyles in my brother's high school annual (he graduated in 1974). I was class of 76, and our hair tended to be a bit shorter, by and large, but the male seniors when I was a sophomore were often sporting shoulder length hair. And mustaches! Some of them looked positively menacing, and they were only 17-18!
