I ordered an H015 -.243 January 9th and H015- 410. The 410 came in about 3 months ago and it’s great. I messaged them to see when it will be ready. I was told there’s still nothing in the line in that caliber. I sent an email to the President to see if it’s not going to be available could I order a different firearm at the same price. It special pricing for Hunter safety instructors. I ordered some special 243 from Nosler which I have here. I’m thinking if I can’t get what want maybe a .308,
30-30 or maybe a 12 gauge slug gun. Waiting to hear back the President is unavailable so another person is handling it. Keeping my fingers crossed. Hope everyone’s well. My wife and I are headed to northern Maine next week going to take son and grandson. My grandson doesn’t think you can catch fish fly fishing. Not to worry I’ll teach him the old guide can help him catch fish.

Fly Fishing? I love it. I always tell people that with fly fishing, even if you Don't Catch Anything, the journey is worth it with fly fishing. We ran a charity for Veteran's, taking them Kayak Fishing, and assisted in a Charity that taught fly tying, fly casting, and those that wanted, could build a fly rod. We took them fly fishing to premium spots and guided them on the waters.... Work? Sure. Rewarding, You Bet!

I got a message from Henry today saying that their welding machine is down and they’ve been working on it for several months because of the complexity of it. All single shot firearms are at a stand still. There’s GoTo be a production meeting tomorrow and hopefully they’ll be an update. I was told that if they can’t do it for a while I could take a different firearm. My issue is I want a single shot and that seems likely impossible to get for a while unless they have something in stock not shipped yet. Oh well going up north to fish for few days so I can relax. An interesting note to share is I tested a young man for his hunting guides license. Told him I was planning on getting a .243 for deer hunting. He said use it for moose. His father has shot an 1100 pound bull and 750 pound cow with his 243 and killed cow with one shot two well placed shots killed the bull and went about ten feet before dropping dead! So guess a well placed shot is as always the answer.

Why not call them back and ask them if they can locate one through one of their distributors. There is 3 pages of Henry 243 Single shots on Gunbroker

Thought I’d fill you in.

If your heart is set on a Henry in .243, the only other option is the Long Ranger. If they'll trade you straight across, you'll come out ahead. The Long Ranger is 2x the price of the single shot. You would also have the option to shoot the Long Ranger one shot at a time or as a five shot.
