Range Report: 2245 pages

Post by Sir Henry » Sun May 11, 2025 9:41 am

In honor of the Coffee and Weather thread hitting 2,245 pages I shot the Ruger 22/45. Twenty rounds of HV at the gongs and I’m off to church.

Cool, and I have one also.
Maybe I should load the 3 10 rounders and give it a go also. ;)

Good to hear, Gene. We don't have the 22./45, but we do have the MK II and MKIII Targets with the 5 1/2" barrel. Need to get out and shoot those.

Lol, weren't it you who just the other day comment on being done buying firearms?  They are nice little pistols.

Hey Gene, I didn't pay attention until Mags brought it up, but according to my little compooter it only shows 2243 pages on the GM thread. Hmm.
Anyway, I pulled mine out of the safe and ran a few mags thru it. Bounced one of the wife's drink cans across the backyard then moved to the little 3" gongs. I forgot just how well it shoots.
While I was at it I put a couple cylinders full thru the 6.5" Heritage RR.

You're welcome. Or were you referring to the "other" Gene? Or both of us? Very confusing. :?

We gotta fix this. I had this same problem when I was working for Boeing. So we let everyone in the group know that we would be known in the future as Gene1 and Gene2.
Since, I'm the newcomer here, I'll be Gene2. Or Gunny, whichever. :)

I can’t even come close to picture presentation like Vaquero does but here goes. My 22/45 Mark IV is the ultra lite. I have 2 barrels for it. Stock and a Tactical Solutions barrel. The Tac Sol. barrel has a Holosun green dot on it. The Tac Sol. barrel is a tack driver. The gun is a blast to shoot with either barrel. Stock barrel has fiber optic sights on it. First pic is the stock gun with some mods on it.

Nothing wrong with those pictures, Al.
How long does it take to switch the barrels out?

Its quick and simple. Just push the button at the back of the receiver and it pops right off.
