Nothing...........I farmed(rode the tractor) all day spraying glypsolate.
Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
I morphed some .30/30 brass into .360. It's a labor intensive process on my old Wilson hand crank case trimmer. I did some improvising to find a shellholder to fit. If I had to do a lot of these it would be tempting to invest in a little chop saw. At least there wasn't any need to anneal because this was new Starline brass.

Would one of those mini tube cutters do you any good?5shot wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 11:18 pmI morphed some .30/30 brass into .360. Ordered 100 pieces of 32 H&R brass from Midway. That will give me something to do on the bench!

Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
I received a shipment of 99.99 pure wire yesterday. It consisted of four 25-lb spools of various diameters.
I'll be able to cut cores for .22lr, 6.5, 30cal, 38 cal, .44 cal, and 45 caliber rounds.
I hope to get the first of my swaging dies soon. It looks like the order will be 30 cal, 50 cal, and then 22 cal dies.
I also found a bit of sailboat lead that tested out at 5-6 brinnel. So that should do well for making cores. I picked up 270lbs of that

Yes. The tube cutter saved some time. Still a lotta work but it helped. Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Nice.
Fri. I ordered 900 255gr 38-55 bullets.
A week ago a guy on MO a guy wanted to split an order of some long 38-55 brass from Starline.
He PM'd me Sat. afternoon that it had arrived, sending payment tomorrow.
So another 125 pieces added to the stash.

Glad that tree trimming is behind me. I have several large piles to burn this winter but that’s the easy part. Brass arrives tomorrow so the next rainy day I’ll have something to do. I was planning on hitting the “unloading” bench on Wednesday but with 40 mph wind gusts predicted maybe not???
Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
My first .360 loads. I used Starline .30/30 brass. The powder coated cast bullets are light loads of Unique with the Lyman #358665 which are about 162 grains and sized .358". The jacketed are 180 XTP's over #5744 and should about duplicate a .357 Max for velocity. Tomorrow I'll pick up some Hornady 200 gr. round nose and start with CFE BLK powder for some full strength loads. I wanted to use the Speer 180 gr. but can't find them anywhere.

Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Looks good, will be waiting to hear how it went.
As far as those 180gr. Speer go, I haven't seen any in a while.
Was wanting to play with some in the 35 Rem.

At this stage of the game by the time I work up a good flinch the shot is already gone.BigAl52 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 10:22 amDid you get one of those shooters friends yet for the full power load workout Grandpa?5shot wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 11:47 pmMy first .360 loads. Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
I picked this bad boy up, 250 + Lbs. I plan on putting my bullet molds, swaging dies, processed jackets in it for swaging, and if i have space, primers.

Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
That’s a good looking cabinet. What do you suppose the original use was?
Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
My guess, government filing of old magnetic style tapes.
The drawers are crazy sturdy, the slides are heavy duty. Plus the drawers lock of a sort. You can only open one at a time. the rest have to be pushed in for one to open. So it won't tip over easily.
The plastic drawer locks

The whole drawer extends out.

The slides.

That's a mighty useful looking cabinet there DsGrouse. I'd like to find something like that myself.

try facebook market place. Simply search in your local area
Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
I found a box of about 600 125 grain lead flat point 38/357 diameter by Falcon on the loading bnch. Each night I go to the bench to load up 50-100 rounds to use these bullets up. Austerity has come to the bench and am down sizing the amount of bullet styles I will keep ininventory.
