What are you stockpiling?

I bought one of the little $15, sit on top of your cup, pour over filter holders. I just put a filter with a scoop of coffee in the holder, set it on top of my mug and pour hot water in. It takes a couple minutes, but you can use whatever coffee you want, be it cheap, or the good stuff. Makes really good coffee, cheaply and doesn't take up much space.

I also grind my own beans, but that's a different discussion.

BTW, if you tend towards high cholesterol, be aware that coffee brewed without a paper filter contains a bunch of cafestol which can throw your lipids out of whack. French press coffee is the worst in that regards.

Me, too. Though mine is plastic; made by Melita and cost about $3 when I bought it a very long time ago. It makes excellent coffee. I live alone and only drink two or three cups a day. I use a heaping scoop of Med Roast Columbian and measure the hot water. We first started using one when we got our first overnight boat. I also own a twelve cup drip coffee maker that has been deep cleaned and sits unused on a counter.

I use a grinder brewer that I bought off Amazon. It will make whatever amount you set it up for. Pour the beans in top and it grinds the beans and brews the coffee. Works great.

The Keurig I currently use is 5 years old, the ones I stockpiled were: a raffle prize, a door prize and 1 that a son of mine won as door prize while here on vacation from Denmark and couldn’t or didn’t want to send it hom, so inherited. None of my other children don’t drink coffees!

The power outlet in Denmark is 250v@50Hz. Even if he was to take it there he'd have to get some sort of power adapter. So probably wasn't worth the hassle.

My youngest has one like that. It's a fairly big machine, but he has the counter space for it. It does make good coffee.

Our Keurig came with a use-your-own-coffee K-cup. It has a screw on/off lid. I've never used it though.
I mostly use Dunkin Donut K-cups. It's puts out a medium and smooth tasting blend.

We also have an old traditional slow drip coffee maker in the back of a cabinet somewhere. When we used it, we ran MJB through it.

I mostly use a Cuisinart drip maker that is pretty old. Mary likes fancy coffee. I like and use Chock full o nuts in a big can.
If I want really good coffee, I take out the Corningware percolator.

That’s what makes this forum so fun to read, never know where the conversation will lead us.

Made a trip to Costco yesterday and as it was Saturday the store was very busy but lots of inventory on everything. Looked like the big cans of Folgers was up in price a little bit but Costco does put it on sale often.
