Tough times around me.... another tragedy in the family today.

Post by fortyshooter » Sat Feb 15, 2025 2:35 pm

My next door neighbor died back around first of February of a stroke and now last week my good neighbor down at my range property suffered an aneurysm of the aorta and he was lucky reach the hospital in time. After surgery he seems to have some impairments and hopefully he will recover soon. Hoping things lean more toward happy times around here soon.

I had an aneurysm on the aorta in 2000. Had the surgery and Carol says I'm more ornery now that before.
He should recover OK.

Like Coop mentioned my wife’s uncle had the same issue. He lived 30+ minutes from the hospital on the property we now own. When it happened he called a neighbor to take him to the hospital so it was probably nearly an hour to get there. This is a very small town hospital but fortunately they had a top notch surgeon who moved from Seattle to Colville to get away from the big city. It was touch and go for a while but he survived.

So just some positive thoughts for your neighbor and his recovery.

Well another tragedy in the family this afternoon. We had a strong line of storms and wind move thru the area this afternoon/evening. My nephew had stopped by to fix an issue on my computer and while here he gets a phone call that his cousin who we all saw at my brother's funeral had a large tree hit her car as she was driving and was killed instantly. When does all this tragedy and sadness end???????? :(

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Thanks all! Once this Winter weather moves out and the Spring sunshine returns things will look and feel much better.
