Im anxious to see the new Bob Dylan movie. Anyone else a Zimmerman fan?

Count me among them. I'm looking forward to the film, too. I've read that Timothée Chalamet is outstanding.

So many of his songs and lyrics have been influential or inspirational to me. Among my favorites is Visions of Johanna from his Blonde on Blonde album. Genius.

I had a Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits 8-track in my first car. Used to leave that one in on long drives and it covered a lot of ground when you listened to his lyrics. It got me to really appreciate his music.

Like a rolling stone. Started with the 8 track in the early 70s. When I lived in Minneapolis I visited a couple of the small bars he played in his early days. Interesting real estate.

My son and I saw him in concert about 15 or 20 years ago. My son really wanted to see him. He loved it.

Me, I liked the opening act better, a band from Australia. I have most of their albums today, none of his.

Listened to a lot of Dylan over the past 60 or so years. Have seen him in concert twice; once, he was great, once not so good.

All good replies. I liked him when he sang folk and then even more when he went electric. Most didn’t like his electric but I did. I’ve seen him in concert three times and while I like his albums I don’t like his live performances.

Dylan fan here too. But if the movie is at the movie house only, I can't go. I haven't been to a movie house in over 43 years now and I can't break my record, lol. If there is ever anything good, I just need to be patient for it to be on TV or maybe even buy the DVD.

I won't be seeing it in a theater, either. I use hearing aids and can't tolerate the loud, booming audio in theaters. I do watch a lot of films, but I do it at home where I have a great TV and sound system; and it only takes a month or two for theatrical releases to get released in digital formats. Like you, I can wait.

Last time I went willingly went to a theater was for "Return of the King" (2003) Went to dinner with a couple of friends and they hijacked me into going to see "Star Wars Ep 7" (2015).

I have a 75" TV now and can wait for anything new I want to see to come out on a streaming channel.

I remember when going to the theater was a big deal when I was in Junior High. Went every weekend but missed a lot of the movie because we spent a lot of time in the men's room smoking cigarettes that kids that had parents who smoked would steal, neither of my parents smoked so I had to bum mine from them. By the time I got to High School you could buy them anywhere, no ID required then. I bought a pack for a friend tonight, 72 years old with mostly grey hair and I still had to show my ID.
