Henry Revolver 22LR

Post by BigAl52 » Fri Sep 06, 2024 4:26 pm

Just got an email from Henry today that they now have their revolver in 22LR. Its a 10 shot and it looks just like the Big Boy Revolver. They call it the Golden Boy revolver available in birds head grip and gunfighter grip.

I didn’t see it on their website but would most definitely want one.

Very interesting. I'd love to see one, too. I don't have enough interest in the Henry 357 revolver to buy one, but unlike a lot of folks, I have nothing against it, either. A 22 LR version might tempt me, though.

You can download the user manual for the .357/38, which is also the user manual for the 22LR and a 22mag. The cover of the manual shows that they all look the same.

Iffen it looks just like the BB.........I wouldn't give it a second look.........They can and should do better.........Even a Webly Fosbery revolver looks better.

It's an interesting development. Good for them for not making it 6-shot. Now I'm most curious about the DA trigger. I shot a Smith 617 once, and the DA was unbearable. I heard some say that it's necessary on .22LR, but is that really true?

P.S. Are you guys okay with the lack of the rear sight on a .22? I thought that it may be acceptable on a close range self-defence revolver, but this is a .22 that is going to be used for target shooting.

I agree that H.R.A. should put an adjustable rear site on the .22 along with a six inch barrel and also offer one on the .357. Given the listed price, I don't think it is too demanding of a request

I’m casually in the market for a double action 22lr revolver and got a little excited about the Henry. Then I finally found a picture of it and my excitement dropped. But then I’m biased towards Smith & Wesson and the classic lines of their DA beauties.
