I have been wanting to get out and shoot for the last couple weeks. We have had heat advisories out and then the last couple days, there were heat warnings. It was so hot and humid out today that just brief walks to my shop to grab a few tools and to Miss Ts to help her made it hard to breathe. Actual temp of a hundred and two plus the heat index. Humidity was terrible. Rained off and on all morning and you could see the steam coming off the ground, NOT a cooling rain.

Supposed to stay in triple digits over the next few days.

Glad YOU could shoot and I love the single actions. I'm green with envy.

92 today, above 96 the rest of the week. After I finish the priority project, I might actually get out on the range. :D

Speaking of Cowboy shooting, I'm about to give this pair of Cowboys a little work out.
The tall one is a 38-55 and his short partner is a 45 Colt. It wears one of your cheap peeps, forty. ;)

Spank that steel Randy. I havent shot my 38-55's in quite a while. I may need to change that soon. Ive kinda been waiting for the local Scheels to get some large rifle primers in as I am lowest on those.

Edit:
I did just that Al, I have my portable gong stand setup at 40ish now, and the larger silhouette is always ready at 50 from the deck. Shot mostly a 243 gr cast over 10 grs of unique in the 38-55. But, I had a few leftover 255's over 21 grs of 4198, the strain was too much to bare and flipped the portable.

I thought was pretty cool, I'm gonna deer hunt some with that load later on this year. Lord willing. ;)
After that I walk back to the safe and pulled out the little 18.5" barreled t-4 and one of my 325+ gr cast over 24 grs of 2400. That one just slammed it on the ground.
The pile of leftovers.

Wish I was there with ya Randy looks like fun. I shot the 357 SS yesterday with some 180gr pills. It smacks that steel hard. What do you think you will go to when you run out of Unique?

I truly don't know buddy, but for now I have 4+ lbs.
That 4198 load is a good one, the fella I bought the rifle from, shared it and also his long range dinger load.
Which I only have about 4 lbs. of also.
But, for a substitute of Unique in the revolver calibers, I really don't know.
The 2400 works good in the 357 and 41, I guess Red dot or Promo for the 45 colts.
