It will be a metal building and they will drill through the concrete and bolt it.

My slab is a lot smaller than yours but I made stress cuts in the concrete and also used fiber reinforced concrete. Also kept the concrete wet for around a week after the pour. No cracks in 18 years.

Mine will cure for 24 days or more. Putting the building up won’t add a lot of weight. It’s all the extra stuff that makes it heavy.

I ordered another 40 loads of material. This time it’s called dirty quarry and is basically just rock and clay. It will make good cheap fill so I can extend the level platform out another 20 feet by about 120 feet long although it narrows to 10 feet at the back and will only be three feet deep instead of 10 feet like the front.

I suspect I’ll switch back to road gravel after 20 loads and then the last 5 of the 40 loads will be clean gravel.

It doesn’t look like it but it’s a ten foot drop from the edge of the fresh mark and the green vegetation.

We received an inch of rain in about an hour. I was on the tractor at the time. I was soaked in five minutes so I kept on working.

Hard to judge the scale of those rocks in the photo but they look to be awful big for your front end loader. If you have a path to where you want them that's not too steep maybe you could drag or push them. I've moved some pretty big rocks with my truck or a come-a-long, chain and a post but nothing as big as that one on the right looks.

Envy your rainfall, we haven't had any measurable rain for at least a couple of months and even then it was only around a 1/2 inch. Can still see a little snow up on Mission Ridge but probably not after next week, 100 degree plus temps predicted for all of next week and it's 95 right now. If the rest of the Summer is as hot as it's been the last couple of years our creek will probably be dry or down to a trickle soon.

I wasn’t able to move the rocks. Mainly bectthey we’re down the slope too far. Had they been on level ground I think I could have skidded them into place.

It stopped raining about 7 pm so I jumped on the tractor and worked till dark. I was able to rough level 3 of the 12 loads.

Not many people know this but Mike is my cousin. Not. We do have the same last name and we look similar.

I had another three loads delivered today. So far I’ve had 85 loads delivered. I still have five loads to level.

There were two large rocks in the dirty quarry and I placed them on the front corners near the building. There will be two 10x10’ garage doors and the smaller center rock will go between them.

Those rocks are going to give the front of your building a nice look. Interesting to see them in place without the building but it sure defines the future look nicely.

I’ve been digging the big rocks out of the clay and placing them in different areas. Here one marks the 50 yard line from my upper berm.

A lot of the rocks roll away from the edge. I’ll be able to gather them later.

My neighbor pulled two big rocks from the edge of my platform last night. My little Branson wouldn’t budge them.

I’m getting the final dozen loads of the road building gravel delivered this afternoon. I’ll spread it and then on Thursday/Friday get a couple loads of 1” clean gravel to put directly in front of the vehicle doors. That way I don’t track dirt into the garage.

Speaking of the garage it will be delivered and installed next Monday.
