Nice backstop! I hope to someday build something similar. Though my plan uses 4x6 PT posts at the ends, faced front and back with PT planks. Then the 6" gap between the planks filled with 3/4minus rock. It's going to be a while, my list of to do's is plenty long already.

Looks good, have ya thought about back filling some dirt/sand behind it?
A little more safe, plus extra support of the ties.
Just have to be careful as to not knock it forward while doing so.
