UPDATE :
our Ninga Woodfire OG751 smoker/grill has now been in heavy use for just under a year .... it is, without any doubt, the finest grill I've ever owned .... we grilled sirloin steaks on it tonight and they really turned out well .... if/when it fails, I wouldn't hesitate to order another just like it .... for our daily use, it works great and the only shortcoming we've found is its small size limits the number of folks we can cook for .... a little while ago I was piddling around looking at Amazon's accessories and found something new that I didn't know existed .... that being a Stainless Steel Rack Set ===> https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CGYT8Q47?re ... tails&th=1 <=== showed it to Maureen and we have a set ordered that should get here tomorrow

that must be the next generation of ours ..... I bet it is a good one .... in my case, I don't think it would work well with my flip phone
Re: Ninja OG751 Woodfire Pro Outdoor Grill & Smoker with Built-In Thermometer
They make one without the bluetooth for less money

The only issue I have had with my grill is not the grill itself but the griddle plate. I might of got a bad one as the proteins were sticking bad to the plate even when sprayed with Pam which one should not need to do. I did order a new one and sent the old one to the dump

Re: Ninja OG751 Woodfire Pro Outdoor Grill & Smoker with Built-In Thermometer
understood .... ours is sticking more and more but its still very easy to clean .... soak it for little while in warm water with a squirt of Dawn and everything wipes off right off .... coincidentally, we were talking about it yesterday and decided to order a spare to have on hand ..... it should be delivered by Amazon within the next couple of hours .... while working on that order I found a new accessory that I didn't know existed .... that being a Stainless Steel Rack Set ====> https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CGY ... UTF8&psc=1 <==== they also should arrive shortly .... the Ninja is great for the two of us but there are time when having such grates will come in very hand when we are having company .... that's specially true each summer while we are out in South DakotaBigAl52 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2024 9:16 amThe only issue I have had with my grill is not the grill itself but the griddle plate. Re: Ninja OG751 Woodfire Pro Outdoor Grill & Smoker with Built-In Thermometer
a friend told me that if we should let cheese "bloom" for a couple of weeks after smoking .... he said he saw on Facebook Cold Smoke forum that wrapping it in plastic wrap and aging for 2 weeks in the fridge mellows the bitterness of the smoke right off the grill, and allows the flavor to penetrate the entire block of cheese ....we hope to give it a try tomorrow ... can't help but wonder if anyone has tried this ..

Re: Ninja OG751 Woodfire Pro Outdoor Grill & Smoker with Built-In Thermometer
fixed a new version of an old favorite today .... ingredients dill pickle spear, sandwich sliced ham, cream cheese, thin sliced bacon .... old version: spread cream cheese on a half slice of ham and it around the pickle ... serve sold cold to room temp, often as a finger food appetizer ... the new part come from then wrapping it with thin bacon .... hold in place with a toothpick .... the friend who told me about it said to smoke the for a couple of hours at 250 degrees ..... in our Ninja smoker I smoked them for 30 minutes at 200 degrees, then turned them over for an additional 12 minutes .... we enjoyed them, the pickle retained its crunch and we plan to fix them often

Re: Ninja OG751 Woodfire Pro Outdoor Grill & Smoker with Built-In Thermometer
Been watching this thread and finally bought one of the smaller models. Walmart had it on sale for $250, was looking at it on Ninja's site and the larger one with a stand was going for $450. Got a set of thermometers that also have bluetooth for around $30. Will be going back through this thread to check out your recipes. Was going to smoke a rack of ribs on the 4th but saw conflicting info on how long it would take so decided to wait. Will try some things that don't take as long first. The spot where I want to use it get's a couple of hours of shade late afternoon/evening, way too hot the next couple of weeks for no shade. Want to try your bacon/pickles, is the mat needed? Didn't see any locally, found this on Amazon, most of them there seem to be a mesh material.

Dave check out Cooking with CJ on YouTube he does a good job with the Woodfire grill. I have one also and have done some of his stuff. Turns out great. Not at all saying that Jims stuff isn’t good just giving you more food for thoughtdave77 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2024 11:00 pmBeen watching this thread and finally bought one of the smaller models. Re: Ninja OG751 Woodfire Pro Outdoor Grill & Smoker with Built-In Thermometer
I will check him out. I think I will get good use out of the Ninja. Charcoal grilling is too much hassle for me and I never cared for the results with a propane grill, seemed unless I was constantly watching it my steak would be on fire. Had better results searing it on my stove and then finishing it in the oven. Just setting the bluetooth thermometer to call me when it's done sounds great to me.

Re: Ninja OG751 Woodfire Pro Outdoor Grill & Smoker with Built-In Thermometer
looking forward to seeing your post as you become better acquainted with your Ninja grill .... best tip I can give you is monitor the cooking .... it cooks much quicker than any grill I've ever owned .... a meat thermometer is critical ....
here is an Amazon link to the mat I use : https://www.amazon.com/Dailyart-Accesso ... F0aWM&th=1
Re: Ninja OG751 Woodfire Pro Outdoor Grill & Smoker with Built-In Thermometer
I bought this to monitor the temps, has good reviews but will check it against my instant read thermometer.
