Hey Packers fans!

After yesterday’s loss I almost decided not to come to my planned visit to Lambeau Field. But here I am.

I took the two hour tour and got to see most of the stadium. I was surprised at how clean and well kept it was. No trash, bubble gum or marks anywhere.

We got to see the luxury boxes which range from seating 12 to a 3,000 sf lounge for 40 of your closest friends.

This sign sits atop the stadium and is 70 feet high. You can see it from miles away especially coming in off the freeway.

Down where the majority of the seats are they are a narrow 22 inch wide aluminum bench. You are crammed in like sardines and the fans love it.

Growing up I think I was the only Packer fan in western South Dakota, went to a lot of Packer’s games but always in an away stadium, never in Lambeau. Finally went a couple of years ago to Lambeau and had the best time, did the whole Packer experience.

As a kid I grew up on a farm about 5 miles west of Lambeau field (It was a rural area then) but in all of my 76 years have only been to one game. I was in basic training in the Army at Fort Hood Texas when the famous "Ice bowl" game was played. There were a couple big burly Texans in our company so I had to be kinda "polite" about the Packers beating Dallas. :D

And....the way the Packers are playing this year it's looking a lot like those cheese head hats are made of Limburger cheese!

My mom grew up in Appleton, about 40 miles south. By default, I was, and am, a cheesehead. Always one of my favorites.

Did you go after the renovation? It seated about 50,000 before and now seats 82,000 which is the second largest NFL stadium.

My mom was a Packers fan and I wasn’t. We always were insulting each other’s team. I bet she is up in Heaven looking down at me and laughing because I’m now a Packer fan.

Not a fan but not a hater either. My wife’s cousin’s husband (boy that’s a mouthful) was born and raised in Milwaukee and of course is a huge Packers fan. As a young adult he moved to Southern California and married my wife’s cousin. They live here in Deer Park in the summer and back in Corona CA. in the winter.

That’s awesome that you got to tour the stadium and thanks for sharing the pictures. One question, what are the white grid units on the field?

Artificial grow lights. The grass is Kentucky Bluegrass reinforced with SIS grass.

Gene, we visited Lambeau in 2015 right after we picked up our new truck camper in MN. We camped right next to the stadium in what is now Title Town. Took the same tour and then went to a game, it was 79 degrees in October, had to buy t shirts it was so warn. There were 82,000 fans and we had great tickets, the Green Bay fans were fantastic to be with. Great time.

I've never been a Packers fan but I was a pretty strong Bart Starr fan .... beautiful pictures, I'd love to see inside that stadium

Went to motorcycle rally in Green Bay and visited the field. As a die hard Bears fan, I felt like a traitor walking around. I got to admit it beat the hell out of Soldier Field. Especially the statues in front.

It’s a beautiful stadium. I liked the huge Lombardi Trophy. They built it to show the Vikings what it looks like.
